Rising majestically over the Lingdingyang waters, it boasts the world’s largest-span, fully offshore steel-box girder suspension bridge at sea; it features the world’s first bidirectional eight-lane steel-shell concrete immersed tunnel; and it introduces the world’s first underwater highway interchange hub. With unparalleled strength and innovation, the project has achieved 10 "world’s firsts," cementing its place as a global engineering marvel.

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is located approximately 30 kilometers north of the Humen Bridge and about 31 kilometers south of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. It begins at the Shenzhen Airport Interchange, crosses westward over the Lingdingyang Sea, connects to the Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway via the Wanqingsha Interchange, and lands on Ma'an Island in Zhongshan City, where it links up with the Zhongkai Expressway. The project integrates "bridge-island-tunnel-underwater interchange" into a single, comprehensive system, spanning roughly 24 kilometers in total. It is currently one of the most challenging cross-sea cluster projects in the world in terms of overall construction complexity.
